The next few Thursday episodes are going to be all about How to Choose the Best DIY Website Builder to build your website yourself. And today’s episode is all about wordpress.org.
For the next three Thursday episodes, I’m going to be going over the three kind of options that are out there. The best options that are out there for building your own website.
This week we’re going over wordpress.org. Next week I’m going to compare wordpress.org to wordpress.com. They get confused sometimes, so we’ll go over exactly what the differences are and which one you’d rather use.
And then the week after that I’m going to go over Squarespace. Squarespace is one of my favorite ones to use. Personally, I would say it’s basically between wordpress.org and Squarespace.
And then if you listen to the three episodes, you’ll understand the differences and hopefully be able to choose which one is best for you.
I decided to do this series on the How to Choose the Best DIY Website Builder because a lot of people, when they’re first starting a business, are on a budget. They need something that is free or almost free to get the things going.
WordPress.org is one of the better ones to use. This is one you have more control over, but this is also one that you have to not be afraid of technology and realize that you’re going to get your hands a little dirty as far learning technology.
It’s not going to be what they call a WYSIWYG. A what-you-see-is-what-you-get when you go to design it. You have to be open to learning technology.
I’m just going to go over a few things that you want to do.
